Meet the Family

My hubby and I at our first Minnesota
Twins baseball game to celebrate our
10th anniversary and our first night
away from our twins!
Ten years ago I married my best friend.  We met when we were sixteen and started dating the following year.  He is the most amazing man I know and I am honored to be married to him.

We finished school, started a business, bought our first home and then started having our babies.  Our oldest, the Dreamer, has the most amazing imagination.  She loves to create, to make people laugh and she tends to be a deep thinker.  I love talking to her and listening to her heart.  She is always full of ideas and plans and is often found daydreaming, most often with a pen in hand.  I am crazy about her.

Our second child is, in a word, a Charmer.  She never meets a stranger twice and when people look at her they can't help but smile.  She loves to talk, make friends and take care of everything that needs to be cared for. She tells me she is having twelve children...she's going to need my help. I love her to pieces.

When we decided to go for a boy, we were doubly blessed!  We had our twins two years ago.  What a whirlwind it has been.  The older twin is such a sweetheart and reminds me of a Lion Cub - adorable, soft and cuddly, but I know when this one grows up he's going to be brave and strong. He LOVES basketball - to his father's great delight.  He loves to dribble, pass, shoot and say: "Wahoo" when he makes a bucket.  He goes crazy at basketball games and in sports shops.  I could cheer him on all day.  He is my heart's desire.

Our second twin, the Monkey, is my little ball of curiosity, trouble and sunshine (think Curious George!). He loves to investigate, dismantle and generally destroy almost everything he touches.  He is fascinated with the vacuum and he loves the bathroom.  He often pulls his brother along into the trouble. He captured my heart from day one and he hasn't let it go.  I love the little Monkey (even when he is getting into mischief).

I love where we live. It is a beautiful river town full of people who I admire and respect. We have been blessed beyond compare with wonderful families, amazing friends and great neighbors.  My greatest writing inspiration comes from my community.  I hope I do it justice.

Add my Family, mix in my Faith, and stir up my Passion and you have me.  A wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend, writer and Child of God.  I love my life and where God has called me to be.  I can't wait to see where He continues to lead me.
