On the fourth day of Christmas, your authors gave to you...

Abram Cooper has ten months to turn rough Minnesota country into a vibrant town, or his sister-in-law will take his three sons back to Iowa with his blessing. Until then, Charlotte Lee has agreed to keep house and help raise his children as part of their bargain. But can the single father fulfill Charlotte's requirements in time to make sure that she and his boys don't leave—and take his heart with them?

Charlotte is convinced that the wilderness is no place to raise her nephews. But as she watches the community slowly develop, she sees that Abram just might be able to make it blossom. With three little matchmakers bringing her and Abram together, Little Falls could become not just a flourishing town, but the perfect home for their patchwork family.

  1. I normally have a real tree, but lately financially it has been hard to buy one. So, my mom bought us a nice
beautiful artificial tree from QVC. It is a nice white flock tree with different lights with different speed. It is great!

    1. What a sweet gift from your mom to give you a tree! I bet it's beautiful with all your favorite ornaments and those sparkling lights. Thank you for stopping by today, Linda!

  2. We are putting our tree up today. It's a 9 foot artificial tree. Our whole family and our one son's girlfriend is also coming to help. We play christmas music while we are decorating it. We also laugh at some of the ornaments and remember when we got them. There are a lot of Disney ornaments on the tree from our many vacations.

    1. That sounds lovely! One of my favorite things to do is reminisce about where we got all the ornaments and what they mean to each of us. Have fun with your family!

  3. My first tree is mostly decorated - 4 to go! They are all artificial (better for allergies). I'm late this year! jarning67(at)hotmaildotcom

    1. Whoa! Five trees is amazing! Are they all in your home? In years past we've decorated our tree, as well as my parents' and my husband's parents'. I thought three trees was a lot to decorate. :) Have fun decorating!

  4. Hi Gabe! We have a 9 ft prelit skinny tree and it is up! I'm trying to convince everyone to skip the ornaments this year because they are always sad when a favorite gets broken (which they always do). We have the stockings up too but that's about the extent of our Christmas decorating. I'm a minimalist in that department, less fuss, less stress ;)

    1. Minimalism is music to my ears!! I'm not a natural-born decorator, so it tends to be more of a chore than a joy for me. And we have four children, so we've seen many of our favorite ornaments broken over the years. There have definitely been tears shed (theirs and mine). We have a puppy this year, so I'm even more nervous than normal. Merry Christmas!

  5. For years had a real tree and then a fairly realistic looking artificial one, but as we are older now we bypass the tree and do some other, smaller decorations instead.

  6. I am allergic to real trees. We used to always put up a nice artificial one, now with just the two of us, I just have a small table top tree. I haven't put it up yet this year. I have some snowflake lights I usually hang up out side. I haven't done that yet either. The first real snow is falling right now. Perhaps that will put me in the mood to put something out. I've been busy reading and watching Christmas movies on Hallmark and UP.

  7. It's up and artificial. I'm allergic to pine.

  8. I put a tree up in my classroom, rather than at home due to naughty dogs that destroy it and the ornaments. I would love a real one, but cannot. A tradition I used to have (pre naughty dogs) was to turn on Christmas music, sort ornaments and reminisce about people, adventures, places, memories made and then find the special place it belonged, then turn off all the lights and plug in the lights for the tree, before placing the angel on top. Someday, it will happen again!

  9. We just put our tree up today! It's our first year with an artificial tree and I'm loving it! I will especially love not clogging my vacuum with pine needles ;)

  10. No tree this year. Kids are all grown so we go to one of their houses for Christmas.

  11. We have 7 fake trees up this year. LOL. Hubby joked one year he wanted a "forest" in our living room, so I gave it to him this year. :)

  12. My Christmas tree is a small ceramic tree than the cats will ignore. Our decorations usually go up the first Monday after Thanksgiving.
