Minnesota Monday...More Snow

It's Minnesota Monday time! I know you've probably heard this a few times already, but it really has been an unusual spring around here. There's still so much snow! We might get more tonight and tomorrow, but I'm hoping it turns to rain.

Here are a few pictures I've taken over the past couple of weeks. I can't wait until I'm taking pictures of green grass and brightly colored flowers.

Happy Monday!

My in-law's backyard

This is the Classic Golf Course near Nisswa, MN - one of
our favorite places to go out for a nice meal. We celebrated
my mother-in-law's birthday here.

This was the yard BEFORE the last two snowstorms. The
purple sled in the corner was completely covered until
this afternoon, when the rain melted the snow again. It's still
not this clear in the yard. Hopefully in the next couple of days.

Back porch after the last snowstorm.

Some people have asked for pictures from my writing room
window. Here is the view.

A little better view (with about three inches of snow).
What about you? Is there snow on the ground where you live? Just for fun, what is the temperature where you live today? (No bragging, please...) :)

  1. It snowed hard here this morning, but by afternoon it had all turned to rain.

    1. Erica, as we drove closer and closer to home, the snow piled up more and more. We enjoyed seeing grass in Rochester for two days. :)

  4. We had a dusting of golf ball sized hail the other day (they bounced into the house when I opened the door to gape). Still time enough for another snow or two to fall in the mountains, but down the valley so low, mowing and trimming have commenced.

    1. Lori, golf ball sized hail would be amazing to see! We get hail in the summer during our thunderstorms, and sometimes they get pretty big, but golf ball sized could do some serious damage. Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

  5. You guys have really been hit this year. We got all rain last week - some major local flooding. Enjoy the snow!

    1. Loree, we had two major storms last week and two snow days for the kids, which is unusual by itself, but to have them in the middle of April is unheard of. Hope everyone's safe during the flooding.

  6. It's going to sound like bragging, I know, but, um, it's been in the 80s and just scraping the 90s this week. Don't be a hater. ;)

  7. Most of my extended family is in the Rochester/Minneapolis area. The rest of them are on the MN side of Fargo. Cannot even imagine how much snow they've had this year.

Winter hit from late February to early April here. We've had nice days here and there--so spring is coming!--but we may have snow in the air tomorrow and on Wednesday. But it shouldn't stick. Phew.

Hopefully this all means summer will be nice and cool this year, not crazy hot like last year, right? Last summer we had over two full months of 100-plus degree weather. It was like living in AZ. Yuck.

    1. Sally, a lot of people in Minnesota are saying that after a winter like this, no one should complain about summer (if it ever gets here). :) I hope it's a beautiful summer!

    2. And yet we always end up complaining, don't we? :)

  9. In Colorado, we just got hit with a monster storm last week, a total of 19 inches. It was pretty awesome! Especially for me because I got a snow day. :) It's snowing again right now. We've gotten two inches and supposed to keep snowing throughout the night.

    1. It sounds like we have the same forecast as you, Marissa! About two inches of snow and more over night! Snow days are a bonus with weather like this. :)

  10. LOVE seeing your snowy pictures! Temperature here? I'm going to say HOT! :P We're in SO Ca and for weeks we've been seeing people water their lawns and I've been cranking the air in the car when we go down to the valley. Spring sort of flew right into summer for us not so fun for this girl who loves winter but it has been nice for working on our tans, lol.

Umm, no bragging huh? Well okay..it's only like 70's here and kinda sunny. I love the view from your writing room. Sigh. I have the warm weather and you have the waterview. Both equally nice. (I will not be jealous, I will not be jealous).
