    1. Sounds like fun, Jeanette! I'm sure your boys love making (and eating!) those Christmas cookies. Some of my favorite Christmas treats have always been the green cornflake wreaths with cinnamon disk berries. 😊 Makes me think of my childhood and a special lady who made them for me.

    1. Yes, Christmas music! It's playing in our house and vehicle almost constantly. 🎄 Love all the old favorites and some of the new renditions. One of my old favorites is Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (sung by Judy Garland) and a new favorite is How Many Kings by Downhere.

    1. My husband is the king of Christmas lights. We don't do extravagant decorations, but they are well-planned and meticulously executed each year. He does a fantastic job with clean and simple lines, pretty colors, and elegant accompaniment to our house. It's fun to drive around and look at lights. My parents once entered a lighting contest in town and took second place. It was a fun memory.

  4. All of the above! We're having a party this afternoon for our neighbors, so we've done all the decorating except the tree (so there's more room in the living room to mingle)

    1. Me, too, Susan. Each year, as we added children, and now as they age, my favorite things about Christmas remain the same: family time, seeing them smile, hearing their laughter, and now reminiscing about Christmases past. It really is a wonderful time of year.

  6. One of my favorite things about Christmas season is all the sweet Hallmark movies. My husband laughs at me because I DVR just about everyone I can and then stay up till after 2 AM on weekends so I can watch them all. :)

    1. Sounds like our family! Even my father-in-law, who hasn't been to a movie theater since Dances With Wolves released, doesn't miss a single Hallmark movie! He keeps them on the DVR and watches them all throughout the year. 😊

  7. All of the above. I usually go overboard with Christmas. There is something about this season that brings out the child in me who believes in miracles and the goodness of people

    1. So beautifully said, Sonnetta! (And what a lovely name! Reminds me of a poem. 😊) Christmas is such a wonderful time of year. It makes me feel all those things, too.

  9. Yes, I don't know how I forgot to add Christmas music. My husband starts playing it a couple weeks before Thanksgiving and we always have a good-natured banter as to whether or not it's too soon, but I truly do love it, and most of it is all about our Savior, so I can't really complain. 😊

    1. You're speaking my language, Nicole!! TCM is my favorite channel on television. I'll take a good, classic film over any other, especially at Christmas. 🎄 I've already watched It's a Wonderful Life, Holiday Inn and Christmas in Connecticut. I can't wait to watched Remember the Night, starring Barbara Stanwyck and Fred MacMurray, which is my favorite.

    1. I agree, Carol. Some of my favorite Christmas memories are driving around to look at lights. We probably aren't as intentional about that tradition with our own children, but we've been known to drive out of our way to see some pretty spectacular light displays. Such a wonderful part of Christmas.
