Winners!

I thought the best way to start your week is to announce the winners of the two drawings I had here on my blog.

The first drawing is for a copy of A Bride Opens Shop in El Dorado, California by author Keli Gwyn, who was a guest on my blog last week. The winner was chosen from a random number generator and it is: Ganise! I'll be contacting you for your mailing address soon!

The other drawing is for a $15 Dairy Queen gift card to celebrate my six month blogging anniversary! The winner was chosen from among my Followers and Facebook Fans and was picked by a random number generator. The winner is: Gwendolyn Gage! Gwen, I'll be contacting you for your mailing address, as well.

My blog recently hit over 10,000 views - which is astonishing for me! Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to read my posts and comment, whether on my blog, through an email, or in person. One of my greatest joys in writing is hearing that my words have touched a place in your hearts and minds. Thank you for coming along on the journey.

What about you? What's one of your greatest joys? Have you had any big milestones lately?

  4. Yeah for Gwendolyn! And hip hip for the views.

Greatest joys...laughing with my husband and kids. Been doing lots of that since he returned from Haiti.

  5. Yay for the winners! And CONGRATS on the growing success of your blog! I'm about to celebrate a big milestone on Aug. 15th when my new 8-lesson small group-based Bible study, The God of All Comfort, releases through Concordia Publishing House!! Squealing!

  6. Congrats on such phenomenal growth, Gabrielle. You know you are doing something right, when the numbers are into 5-digits. It won't be long before they are in 6-digits! Keep up the good work, girl.

  7. Yay for you and for the winners!

My greatest joys are knowing that my ministry has touched people somehow. When I sing and someone says God spoke to them through the song...I'm speechless that He would use me.

Other simple joys: hanging out with my husband, family, and friends; reading delicious prose; and dancing to a fun song.

  8. Fun! Congrats on all those views. :)

One of my greatest joys is time with family. I'm all sunburned and happy from a wonderful day at the lake with my family...looove. :)

Yes, I've had milestones!!! More info coming soon... ;)

  10. Sherrinda - thank you!

Ganise - congrats on the win and thank you for your encouraging words.

Wendy - I bet he had a lot of great stories to tell after being in Haiti. When my hubby came home from Africa it was amazing to hear how it affected him and what he experienced there. Keep up the giggles! :)

Donna - thank you and congratulations on the release of your Bible Study!! I'm looking forward to having you as a guest on my blog on the 20th!!

Ava - thank you. :) My prayer is that I would get out of the way and let God use my blog to proclaim His Word! It isn't always easy to do, but it's worth it. Any success was, is and will be His.

Lindsay - I hope to hear you sing someday. Maybe a late night concert for Ruth and I will be in order at ACFW! :) I'm always amazed, too, when someone says that my words blessed them. It's beyond my comprehension. And yay for your joys in your life - they're the best to have.

Melissa - it's driving me crazy not knowing what you've been glowing about this last week or so! :) Inquiring minds want to know! So happy you had fun with your family. As you can tell on my blog, going to the lake is one of my favorite past times! :)

Jessica - thank you so much! It really means a lot to me that you'd say that. :)

  11. And to the other Jessica - thank you, too! :) I know 10,000 views isn't a lot in comparison to other blogs, but for me this is huge! I had no idea what God had planned for me when I started blogging in February (still don't!) - but He's blessed me in so many ways with it.

  12. Congrats to the winners!

My blog recently hit over 10,000 views too. It's an awesome feeling. Congrats to you, Gabrielle!

  13. Loree - thank you! And congrats on your 10 grand, too! :) Because I can't see who's reading my posts, I'm always surprised by a random person who tells me they read them quite regularily. I'm even more surprised when they tell me how much something I wrote meant to them. God is good!

  14. Johanna Garth - your comment came to my email, but it isn't on my blog. I don't know why Blogger does that from time to time. Hmm...

Here's the comment: "Hooray for the winners and for all the blog views. It feels really great doesn't it!"

Thanks, Johanna! It does feel great. :)

  15. Oh, yay! I'm so thrilled. Guess who's going to Dairy Queen this week... ;-) Wow, ten thousand visits! I'm excited with you!

  16. Wow - 10,000 visits! That's awesome!

And congratulations to your winners, too.

I thought I signed up to get your stuff via email but I'm only getting on my feeder. I'm going to try again. Don't want to miss anything.

Loved the post on Keli's goodie bushel! How fun!

Have a wonderful rest of the day!

  17. Gwen - not only do you get to enjoy the DQ, but my kids were crazy excited when I told them we were going to the DQ because I needed to get a gift card and they could get something, too! Everyone wins when the DQ's involved!! I hope you enjoy it. :) By the way, I used to work at our local DQ and they joke that there is a Blizzard with my name on it there because I always get the same thing and now my kiddos love it - a cookie dough Blizzard with brownies!!

Becky - I've been thinking about you today as I saw you post on another blog. I made a late decision to go to ACFW, so I'm hustling to get myself ready for it and I'm not able to go visiting as many blogs as I'd like - and I've missed going to Braveheart! Your words always bless me. Thanks for stopping by today. :)
