Friday Fun: 4th of July Minnesota Style

Today I have two very special guests with me! It was there first vlog - but they're so cute, I think they'll be here again soon. ;)

What about you? What did you do for the Fourth of July? Are you still celebrating?

I tried capturing the half a dozen lake home that
were lighting fireworks from their docks,
 but it was almost impossible

These fireworks were shot off from
the neighbor's dock

The storm that blew in because of the
intense heat & humidity

One of my favorite pictures! Here is the motor
operated parasail we saw over the lake.

A couple of patriotic cuties!

  1. Looks like a lot of fun, Gabrielle! I spent the day outside in 100-degree temps enjoying a parade and picnic. (Well, okay, surviving might be a more accurate term, but it was fun anyway. :))

    1. It was a hot one this year! The humidity was the worst part for me, but we made the best of it by being at the lake!

  2. Aww, so cute!! I relaxed and fit a little writing in and celebrated with my sis on the Fourth. And then had a crisis that night when I realized it wasn't, in fact, Saturday and I actually had to go to work the next day. :)

    1. Having the 4th on a Wednesday made the whole week feel weird - I kept thinking it was Saturday, too! Thankfully now it's Friday and I feel like I get two weekends in a row! :) Congrats again on the big news!! I'm still smiling for you, Melissa!

  3. Aww! Great pictures. We didn't get to do or see fireworks here in Colorado because of the fire ban. But that's okay. We got to visit with family and had a GREAT time! Now I'm ready for the weekend :)

    1. Our sunsets have been the most amazing pinkish red color from the smoke in Colorado hovering in the atmosphere. It's happened before when there have been massive fires out west, but I'm always amazed to see it. We had such massive storms pass through here on the evening of the 4th that many of the bigger displays were cancelled because of them and even one near our hometown had an emergency evacuation because there was a tornado warning. Thankfully no one was hurt. Have a fun weekend, Cindy!

  4. Love your sweeties! Looks like you all had a great holiday!

We're still celebrating. I've been on vacation this week. Tomorrow we're heading out boating on Lake Michigan.

    1. Oh, Lake Michigan sounds fun and windy! We've been out on Lake Superior a handful of time on a big boat. There's nothing quite like the Great Lakes, is there?

I hope you're enjoying your vacation! Thanks for stopping by, Loree.

  6. I'm not sure if they're allowed to be that cute. Zach is 9 and single...in case you want to arrange the marriage now. You know, really, why wait?

Hopefully you don't have Dallas hair with the humidity...
