Have you ever started reading a book and become so enraptured by it that you suddenly look up at the clock and realize two hours have passed, without your notice? Have you ever closed a book at midnight, with a smile on your face, already looking forward to opening that same book the next day to find out what happens?
This just happened to me (not for the first time, I assure you). The only trouble is, I was going to write this blog post much earlier, and have something stupendous and marvelous to say, but I was too caught up in a book to remember to write it.
My apologies. As a way to make amends, I thought I'd share the name of this book with you, so that you, too, can enjoy a wonderful read and get caught up in a delightful story world and fore go all your other responsibilities.
Short-Straw Bride by Karen Whitemeyer - one of my new, favorite authors. Every book I've read of hers has left me thoroughly satisfied. I'm only a quarter of the way through this one - but I can already tell you I'll be making room in my week to finish it.
What about you? Have you read Short-Straw Bride? Have you read any of Karen's other books? What book are you reading now?
Don't forget to join me on Friday! I've been busy taking some AMAZING pictures of Fall colors in Minnesota.
